Business-friendly explanation of how the replenishment schedule is calculated

Date calculation

EDD and OFD are calculated from approved PRs, not manually typed.

EDD = PR Approved + 3 + Lead Time OFD = Calculated EDD + 7

PR Opened Date is shown for visibility and audit. The scheduling anchor is PR Approved Date, because that is when the order can enter planning.

Capacity check

PO and WO use separate capacity buckets.

PO: checks pieces only.
WO: checks gold weight in grams plus credit.
Capacity and credit are held from scheduled start until EDD.

Vendor recommendation

Secondary is evaluated whenever primary is delayed.

Primary remains the default proposal; secondary is never auto-assigned.
If secondary can meet the Base EDD, it is treated as a recovery option.
If secondary is faster but still delayed, it is treated as an improvement option for planner review.

Planner decision

The app recommends; the planner still decides.

For this hosted POC, the app recommends but never auto-assigns secondary. “Keep primary”, “Switch to secondary”, and lead-time edits are captured in the activity log for audit visibility while backend assignment remains human-controlled.

Current demo scope: HQ and vendor views only. Branch/store access is intentionally parked for Phase 2.
